torture: take action

This is the second in a series of events on torture. The first event looked at torture from the perspective of U.S. soldiers who had participated in torture, as well as an author who has written about the subject. The second event on October 9th features those who have been tortured, as well as a look at International Law on the issue of torture. Veterans For Peace works to expose the true costs of war and we hope that people in St. Louis will join us for the live event at Eden Seminary, Press Education Center, Room 101 at 12 noon. It can also be viewed online at www.veteransforpeace.org GO here

Speakers include Moazzam Begg, Phil Butler, Leigh Hunt-Greenleigh, and the event will be moderated by Jean Abbott. The live webcast today was sponsored by Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.
